DJ Deejay began spinning in the clubs of Philadelphia in 2000. Taking his love of the rocknroll he grew up on, Deejay started his first party titled "53rd & 3rd" (taken from the Ramones song of the same name). After his reputation grew among club goers, club owners, and booking agents, Deejay quickly landed consistent weekly residencies throughout Philadelphia. As his love for music continued to grow, so did ideas for new events. He began throwing new parties such as "Beatles & Stones" and the now nightlife staple, "MMP!", which features the music of Madonna, Michael Jackson and Prince. The "MMP!" party is now widely duplicated throughout the United States, which Deejay sees as a testament to his open minded approach to understanding party goers and what makes them dance anywhere in the world. Now the Saturday night resident dj at Silk City in the booming Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia, Deejay's "Anything U can SHAKE YrHips2" dance party is a consistent sold out event.
